Youth Sunday School Classes @ Sunday Morning Live!
Middle School and High School teens meet in the gym on Sunday mornings at 9:45 AM. We meet in the gym for a combined time of singing, goofy stuff, and announcements concerning upcoming events. *All youth classes and groups are open entry.

New Comers Adult Class

          Pastor Paul Bufford

Room 111

Pastor Paul teaches the New Comers Class. This class is open to all that are attending our church that have not already taken the class. The class covers the importance of the church, who needs the church, who is in charge, and what Abingdon Bible Church believes. The class meets four consecutive Sundays during the Sunday School hour.  Contact Pastor Paul or the church office at (276-628-2400) to attend. This Class is Closed Entry.

This group is studying the Spiritual Gifts.  We would like to explore the talents God has given each of us and practice using them to serve our King.  This class is open to singles having graduated high school.  This class is Open Entry.

After spending the fall and winter in a survey of Genesis, this class spent the summer in the Book of Acts.  The study theme of “Going Into The World” looks at how Christ began His church through the obedience of the Apostles and common folk.  This class is for adults of all ages.  This class is Open Entry.

 

Adult III  - iFamilies                               Michael Craig                                                                 Room 202

This former Young Marrieds class is now called iFamilies – inform, instruct, inspire.  Materials used are marriage and family oriented.  This class is for all experiential ranges.  This class is Open Entry.

 

Adult IV Class                                         Clay Brinson & Tim Martin                                            Room 105

This class will be studying Sunday School Done Right 2 – Ten Steps to Spiritual Renewal.  The first six weeks we will look at a training strategy for reaching, teaching, and ministering through Sunday School.  The next ten weeks we will be studying about spiritual renewal.    It is for any age group and is Open Entry.

 

Adult V Class                                                 Bill King                                                                      Room 403

This class will be studying the Parables of Jesus.  The class will examine the profound spiritual truths found in these wonderful word pictures used by our Lord.   This class is for any age and is Open Entry.

 

Adult VI Class                                      Monty Vernon  & David Caskey                                       Room 106

This class will be studying spiritual warfare.  This is an inductive study on a subject that all maturing Christians must deal with.  The guide book for this material is from Intervarsity Press.  This class is Open Entry.

 

Adult VII Class                                         Mark Godbey                                                                   Room 112

This class continues to study Hebrews.  Class format is lecture, with question and answer.  This class is Open Entry.

 

Adult VIII Class                                         Christina Moore                                                            Room LL3

This new women’s Sunday School class began Sept. 7.  They will be studying He Speaks To Me:  Preparing To Hear From God, written by Priscilla Shirer.  This study will be a mixture of small group discussion and video lessons.  For more information or to sign up for the class, please contact Christina Moore at 356-8225 or at cmoore@bvunet.net.  This class is for all ages and is Open Entry.

Awana Clubs
Awana meetings are full of life enriching experiences for young people. They provide consistent positive teaching each week that stresses strong moral and spiritual values. Awana emphasizes memorization and understanding Scripture. Awana clubs are loaded with exciting activities.

Awana meets Wednesday nights September 2007 through May 2008 at 6:30 P.M. 

Our younger Awana Clubs meet on Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M.
These clubs include:

CUBBIES (ages 3 & 4, must be three by September 1)

SPARKS (K, 1 & 2)

T & T (boys & girls, grades 3 – 6)

JR VARSITY (Our older Clubers), , which consists of grades 7 and 8 also meets from
6:30 – 8 P.M.
* All Awana Clubs are Open Entry*
