Youth Sunday School Classes @ Sunday Morning Live!
Middle School and High School teens meet in the gym on Sunday mornings at 9:45 AM. We meet in the gym for a combined time of singing, goofy stuff, and announcements concerning upcoming events. *All youth classes and groups are open entry.

Adult Sunday School Classes

New Comers Adult Class

          Pastor Paul Bufford

Room 111

Pastor Paul teaches the New Comers Class. This class is open to all that are attending our church that have not already taken the class. The class covers the importance of the church, who needs the church, who is in charge, and what Abingdon Bible Church believes. The class meets four consecutive Sundays during the Sunday School hour for four consecutive Sundays.  Contact Pastor Paul or the church office at (276-628-2400) to attend. This Class is Closed Entry.

 

Young Adult Singles             Chris and April Prater - Rm LL2 (Downstairs)                      

This class focuses on life situations that often confront college students and young professionals. They are currently studying John. This class is Open Entry.

 

Adult II                                  John Wilkinson - Rm 401                                

This class is studying Take It To The Limit by Andy Stanley. This series looks at how the secret to getting more out of life is not doing more, but doing less. He focuses on how to create margins in our schedules and bank accounts. Includes conversation-starting exercises, discussion questions, and application steps. This class is for adults of all ages and is Open Entry.

 

Adult III - Marriage Builders             Bruce McNulty  - Rm 202                                

This is the former iFamilies class and focuses on building Godly marriages. This class is Open Entry.

 

Adult IV Class                   Clay Brinson & Tim Martin - Rm 105                

This class is studying the New Testament Epistles, Galatians through 2nd Timothy. Each week the class will read one chapter per night of the short books of the NT. Then each Sunday we'll disusss the book. It is for any age group and is Open Entry.

 

Adult V Class                    Bill King - Rm 403                                           

The class is studying the entire New Testament and is now in the book of Romans. Emphasis is placed on life application. The class is also looking at apologetics and other issues facing Christians today. This class is for adults of all ages and is Open Entry.

 

Adult VI Class                 Monty Vernon & Alan Newcomb - Rm 106           

This class is studying the book of Matthew. The class uses an inductive Bible study question and answer format for discussion leading to personal application. They are currently using a study guide for the book of Psalms from Max Lucado's "Life Lessons" series. This class is Open Entry.

 

Adult VII Class              Mark Godbey - Rm 112                                        

This group is studying the gospel of Mark. Class format is lecture, with question and answer. This class is Open Entry.

 

Adult VIII Class            Whitney Canada- Rm LL3                                    

The Women’s Sunday School class is studying “Crazy Love: Overwhelmed By A Relentless God" by Francis Chan. We will be implementing God's love in practical ways to others in our everyday lives. New members can join at any time. Come join us! This class is for women ages 18 and older and is Open Entry.

Awana Clubs
Awana meetings are full of life enriching experiences for young people. They provide consistent positive teaching each week that stresses strong moral and spiritual values. Awana emphasizes memorization and understanding Scripture. Awana clubs are loaded with exciting activities.

Awana meets Wednesday nights September through May at 6:30 P.M. 

Our younger Awana Clubs meet on Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M.
These clubs include:

CUBBIES (ages 3 & 4, must be three by September 1)

SPARKS (K, 1 & 2)

T & T (boys & girls, grades 3 – 6)

JR VARSITY (Our older Clubers), , which consists of grades 7 and 8 also meets from 6:30 – 8 P.M.
* All Awana Clubs are Open Entry*

Maps to assist in locating classrooms are located on the Literature Table in front of the church office. You can also find free devotional literature to help you in your spiritual life as well as community announcements and Missionary letters there.
